Isaiah

A long book of prophecy about Judah and Jerusalem, mostly poems, with a stretch of history in the middle about King Hezekiah and the Assyrian army standing outside the city wall. The first part charges the people with injustice and idol worship, and announces judgment on them and on the nations around them, Babylon, Moab, Egypt, Tyre and more. The later part speaks to people far from home: comfort, a road back, a servant who suffers for the wrongs of others, and a Jerusalem that is built again.
