1 Enoch 64
What Happens in This Chapter
Enoch reports seeing other forms hidden in that place. He then hears an angel's voice explaining who they are: the angels who came down to the earth, made known to human beings what had been hidden, and led human beings into sin. The chapter is two verses long and consists of this one sight and the explanation given for it.
And I saw other forms hidden in that place.
1And other forms I saw hidden in that place.
2I heard the voice of the angel saying: "These are the angels who came down to the earth. They made known to human beings what had been hidden, and they led human beings into committing sin."
2I heard the voice of the angel saying: ‘These are the angels who descended to the earth, and revealed what was hidden to the children of men and seduced the children of men into committing sin.’
"Seduced" in older English means led astray or talked into doing wrong. It does not have the narrower sexual sense the word usually carries today.
