Zechariah
The words and night visions of the prophet Zechariah, given while the temple in Jerusalem was being rebuilt under Persian rule. The first half is a run of visions with an angel explaining them (a rider among myrtle trees, a man with a measuring line, a gold lampstand, a flying scroll, four chariots) along with a call to return to God and a question about whether to keep fasting. The second half turns to what is coming: a king riding a donkey, shepherds good and worthless, nations gathered against Jerusalem, and a day when the LORD is king over all the earth.
