Wisdom of Solomon

A book about wisdom, written as a speech to kings and judges of the earth. The first part contrasts the righteous with the ungodly and describes what happens to each after death; the middle is a king's account of how he prayed for wisdom and what she gave him, ending in a prayer; the last part retells the story of Israel's rescue from Egypt without using any names, and argues at length against the worship of idols.
