Song of Solomon

A collection of love poems attributed to Solomon. A woman and a man take turns speaking, praising each other's beauty from head to foot, calling each other out to the spring countryside and the vineyards, and searching the city streets at night when one of them is missing. Along the way there is a wedding procession for Solomon, a warning repeated to the daughters of Jerusalem not to stir up love before its time, and a closing line that love is as strong as death.
