Ruth

A short story set in the days when the judges ruled. A famine takes one family from Bethlehem to Moab, and a widow named Naomi comes home with Ruth, her Moabite daughter-in-law, who gathers leftover grain in the field of a relative named Boaz. It follows the two women through the barley and wheat harvest to a deal made at the town gate, a marriage, a baby, and a family line that ends at David.
