Romans
Paul's longest and most carefully built letter, written to Christians in Rome, a city he had never visited. He works through his case in order: everyone is in the wrong before God, being made right comes through faith rather than keeping the law, and the Spirit gives believers a new life they could not produce themselves. He spends three chapters on what has happened to Israel, then turns to daily life together (love, government, food arguments) and ends with greetings to more than two dozen people by name.
