Revelation 15

And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.

1Then I saw another sign in the sky. It was great and wonderful. Seven angels held the last seven plagues. With these, God's anger is finished.

NoteA plague is a terrible trouble or sickness that spreads to many people.

2And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

2I saw something like a sea of glass mixed with fire. People stood beside it. These people had won against the beast. They had won against its statue, its mark, and the number of its name. They held harps that God gave them.

3And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.

3They sang the song of Moses, who served God. They also sang the song of the Lamb. They sang, "Lord God Almighty, the things you do are great and wonderful. Your ways are fair and true, King of all nations."

Note"The Lamb" is a name this book uses for Jesus.

4Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

4"Lord, who would not honor you and praise your name? You alone are holy. All nations will come and worship you. Everyone can see that your judging is right."

5And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:

5After this I looked. In the sky, God's temple was opened. This temple is the tent that held God's law.

6And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.

6The seven angels came out of the temple. They carried the seven plagues. They wore clean, shining linen clothes. Gold sashes were tied around their chests.

7And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.

7One of the four living creatures gave the seven angels seven gold bowls. The bowls were full of the anger of God, who lives forever and ever.

NoteThe KJV says "vials," which means bowls. It also says "beasts" here, but these are the four living creatures near God's throne. They are not the beast in verse 2.

8And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

8Smoke filled the temple. It came from God's glory and God's power. No one could go inside the temple. They had to wait until the angels' seven plagues were done.
