MAKE HASTE, O GOD, TO DELIVER ME; MAKE HASTE TO HELP ME, O LORD.
1Hurry, God, and save me. Hurry and help me, LORD.
2Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.
2Some people are trying to kill me. I ask that they be ashamed and mixed up. Some people want to hurt me. I ask that they be pushed back and shamed.
3Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha.
3Some people laugh at me and say, "Aha, aha!" I ask that they turn away in shame.
4Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.
4Let everyone who looks for you be happy and glad. Let everyone who loves your saving help keep saying, "God is great!"
5But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying.
5But I am poor and I need help. Hurry to me, God. You are the one who helps me and saves me. LORD, please do not wait.
