Psalms
Chapter 117
This is the shortest chapter in the Bible. It calls every nation and every people to praise the LORD. The reason given is that God's love for his people is great and his faithfulness never ends.
Plain reading written for preteens. Clear and complete, at about a fifth grade reading level.
O Praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.
1Praise the LORD, all you nations! Praise him, all you peoples everywhere!
2For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.
2Praise him, because his kind love for us is great, and the LORD keeps his promises forever. Praise the LORD!
"The truth of the LORD" here means God's faithfulness: he stays true to what he has said.
