Christ's Good Confession Before Pontius Pilate
12Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
Fight the good fight that faith calls for. Take hold of the life that never ends. God called you to that life. You said out loud that you believe, with many people watching.
13I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;
God sees me as I tell you this, and he gives life to everything. Christ Jesus sees me too. He told the truth bravely when he stood before Pontius Pilate, the ruler who judged him.
14That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Keep this command with no stain on it. Give no one a reason to blame you. Keep it until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again.
