Elijah's Prayer Stopping and Sending Rain
16Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
So tell each other about the wrong things you have done, and pray for each other, so you may be healed. When a person who does what is right prays, that prayer is powerful and gets results.
17Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed hard that it would not rain, and no rain fell on the land for three and a half years.
18And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
Then he prayed again, and the sky gave rain, and the earth grew crops again.
