Mark
The shortest of the four accounts of Jesus, and the fastest moving. It runs from John baptizing in the desert to an empty tomb, mostly through things Jesus does, healings, crowds, arguments with the Pharisees and scribes, a few parables, and a boat crossing where he stops a storm. The last week in Jerusalem takes up a third of the book, ending with the arrest, the crucifixion, and women who find the stone rolled away.
