Judith

A siege story. An Assyrian army under Holofernes marches west, cuts off the water supply of the hill town of Bethulia, and waits for the people to give in, until a widow named Judith dresses up, walks into the enemy camp, and comes back with the commander's head in a food bag. It ends with the army in flight and Judith leading Israel in a victory song.
