Haggai
Four dated messages from the prophet Haggai, spoken in the second year of King Darius to Zerubbabel the governor, Joshua the high priest, and the people of Judah. The temple lies in ruins while everyone works on his own house, and Haggai tells them the LORD is behind their short harvests and empty wages, and that they should go get wood and build. The people start work, and the rest of the book is what the LORD says to them while they build: keep working, this house will be filled with glory, and blessing starts from the day the foundation was laid.
