Esther

A story set in the Persian court, where a Jewish woman named Esther is made queen and keeps quiet about who her people are. When a royal official named Haman gets the king to sign an order to kill every Jew in the empire, Esther and her cousin Mordecai work to undo it. It ends with the Jews fighting off their enemies on the day set for their destruction, and with the start of the yearly feast of Purim.
