Ecclesiasticus

A long book of teaching from Jesus the son of Sirach of Jerusalem, who names himself at the end. Most of it is short instructions and sayings for daily life (money, friends, speech, meals, children, work, sickness and death) set inside praise of wisdom, who comes from the Lord and makes her home in Israel. The last chapters change shape and become a roll call of Israel's ancestors, from Enoch and Abraham down to Simon the high priest at the altar.

Teaching Ecclesiasticus? What each passage says, claim by claim, for every chapter.
