Deuteronomy

Moses' last speeches to Israel, given east of the Jordan, in the fortieth year after Egypt. He retells what happened on the way from Horeb, goes back over the law point by point, and sets out the blessings and curses tied to it. The book ends with his song, his blessing on the tribes, and his death on Mount Nebo, in sight of the land he does not enter.
