Acts
Luke's second book, written to the same man, Theophilus, picking up right where the Gospel ended. It follows Jesus' first followers after he is taken up: the Spirit comes at Pentecost, Peter preaches and heals, Stephen is stoned, and Saul goes from arresting believers to preaching about Jesus himself. The second half travels with Paul across the empire (synagogues, riots, jails, a shipwreck, and hearings before Roman governors and a king) and ends with him under guard in Rome, still preaching.
