3 John
A one-page letter from "the elder" to a man named Gaius, thanking him for taking care of traveling believers and asking him to keep sending them on their way. It also names two other men: Diotrephes, who wants to be first, will not welcome those travelers, and throws out anyone who does, and Demetrius, whom the writer speaks well of. It ends with the writer saying he hopes to come soon and talk face to face.
