1 Thessalonians

A short letter from Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy to the church in Thessalonica, a group they had to leave in a hurry and had been trying to get back to ever since. Paul recalls what his visit was like, tells them how relieved he was when Timothy came back with news that their faith was holding up under pressure, and reminds them how to live while they wait. The last two chapters answer their question about believers who have died, and describe the Lord coming down from heaven with a shout and a trumpet.
