1 Peter

A letter from Peter to Christians scattered as foreigners across five regions of Asia Minor, written while they were being insulted and mistreated for their faith. He tells them who they now are (born again, living stones, a chosen people, a royal priesthood) and then how to live among outsiders, in households, and with each other. Suffering runs through the whole letter, and Peter keeps pointing back to Christ, who suffered without hitting back.
