1 John

A short letter from someone who says he heard, saw, and touched the Word of life, and is passing that report on. It works through a set of tests for who really belongs to God: admitting sin instead of denying it, keeping his commands, loving other believers instead of hating them, and confessing that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. It also warns about false prophets and about people who left the group and deny that Jesus is the Christ.
