1 Corinthians

A letter from Paul to the church in Corinth, written after a report reached him that the church had split into rival groups naming different leaders. He works through their problems one at a time: lawsuits between believers, a case of sexual sin, marriage and single life, food offered to idols, disorder at their shared meals, and arguments about spiritual gifts. It also holds his chapter on love and his long answer to people in Corinth who said the dead are not raised.
